The A.S.K. Billy Ray Hobley Foundation—established by the late Billy

 Ray Hobley, a 22-year veteran of the World-Famous Harlem Globetrotters

  —was created to empower youth and young adults in the Greater New

 Orleans Area. Its mission is to build character, confidence, and life skills

 that support the development of strong, productive citizens. Through

 sports-centered enrichment programs, the Foundation promotes health,

 knowledge, and self-esteem while offering structured guidance in

 fundamentals and competitive development.

Today, Co-Founder and Executive Director, Mattie Johnson Hobley faithfully       continue her husband’s legacy. Under her leadership, the Foundation ensures

that youth across the region receive mentorship, academic support, and positive

role modeling from professionally trained adults and athletes.

This program is designed to instill the disciplined principles of Ask questions,

Seek   answers, and Know truth (A.S.K.). A.S.K.  and serves as both a challenge

and a  powerful call to action—youth to youth, child to child, and program to

 community   partners and businesses—encouraging young people to develop the   skills needed to build productive, successful lives.

 Schools serve as the foundation of our outreach efforts, as they   provide the most effective avenue to reach large numbers of youth. Accordingly,

our   program focuses on working with, in, and through school systems through-

out the   Greater New Orleans area.
